Neat game, some initial impressions i got while playing:

* Gameplay is based around keeping the correct distance from the enemies and strafe around them, the drop shadow from the weapon is a nice touch.

* Controls map poorly to trackpad

* Bit of an info dump in the beginning, which i skipped. Then i found that the recharge mechanic is not explained in the pause menu alongside the rest of the controls

* There is not indicator of enemies outside of you field of view, you have to actively look around

* I was confused why why i had to wait a little at the end of the early rounds as i hadn't noticed the timer, perhaps skip the remaining timer if all enemies have been killed? Add the remaining time to the score?

love this honestly, my only gripe is i genuinely couldnt keep playing due to the buzzing sound of the cutter. in its current state with it being the same low drone, it really gets irritating quick. one idea i had was making its pitch change in accordance to something, maybe the amount of damage youre doing or how long youve had it on a plant consecutively, or how many plants youve killed in a row, possibly even player movement? just something that not only gives it more variety, but also reacts to the game in some way. would love to see where this goes. keep it up!

edit: i only just realized that this was supposed to be a quick project to challenge yourself, whoops. even so i hope my constructive criticism can be of help :)

Appreciate the kind words and suggestions :) After replaying it I see what you mean. I'll upload an updated version that remedies those issues soon

This was super cool! Love the aesthetic a lot! I've always felt that a weed whacker could translate to a cool videogame weapon.
